About

Claire doing Yoga on the Knavesmire in York

Claire — I’m not a yoga teacher or a nutritionist. I don’t do perfect routines or polished wellbeing.

What I do is rooted in real life.

Through running community projects, organising events and working hands-on with people, I’ve spent years alongside those navigating grief, recovery, neurodiversity and all the unexpected turns life throws in.

Life’s Bumpy Ride started as a way to make sense of that — and has grown into a platform for workshops, talks and events that are practical, honest and actually usable.

The work I deliver isn’t about theory or quick fixes. It’s about what helps in the moment — whether that’s building resilience, creating connection, or just making things feel a bit more manageable.

It’s a bit less “corporate handbook” and more real conversation — with tools you can actually take away and use.

Now, I bring that into spaces where it can have the most impact:
workshops, speaking, and events that connect people through shared, real-world experience.

Rob having a beer

Rob — a former business development manager turned bike mechanic, adventurer, and passionate advocate for inclusive cycling. I swapped office life for oily hands and open roads, and now I’m using my skills to drive forward projects that make cycling more accessible, especially for disabled riders. I co-run a bike shop, fix things (bikes and beyond), and support events that bring people together through movement and challenge. I’m retraining, learning, and building a life that’s more aligned with my values — practical, people-centred, and full of momentum.
